EUGENE JAPANESE AMERICAN MEMORIAL

JUSTICE  ×  PERSEVERANCE  ×  HONOR

Call to Action

The Eugene Japanese American Memorial commemorates the sacrifices of those who suffered wartime internment and celebrates the contributions Japanese Americans have made to the civil rights we all share. The City of Eugene, Oregon authorized the construction of the memorial on public property on the Hult Center grounds, very close to the site where Japanese Americans were required to register prior to their forced journeys to camps in the western United States. A public dedication was held on February 19, 2007.
